Meeting for the client presentation is always electric. You can feel the buzz energy from both sides of the table as creative ideas are presented and then digested. Absolutely the most anticipated dates on our calendars are Launch Dates. We live for them. This is when all systems are go and we've dotted all our dot coms etc. The designers are informed, the media techs have their instructions, the reasearch has been completed, all departments are readied. Admen then launches the appropriate actions to bring your project or campaign to fruition. Prior to launching Admen in 2014, for 15 years Mark was the owner of iCatcher Design and Marketing. Creating all of the graphic design, website development, advertising creative and direct marketing for a number of Alberta real estate developers, area resort properties and various other businesses. This, combined with his motion picture, video and photography background dating back to the 80's, is key to Mark's ground-up understanding of how to tell a story using strong visuals and effective writing. In 1988 Mark was nominated, as the Writer Director, for Best Amateur Film by The Alberta Motion Picture Industry (AMPIA). In 1990, after having worked with a video heli-crew for the CBC, host broadcaster of the '88 Calgary Winter Olympic Games, Mark began his 25+ year career in marketing, advertising and design.
Scott Rosenke hales from the "city of champions", Edmonton, Alberta. Scott's father, Ed Rosenke was a highly regarded and popular local Edmonton businessman , who owned a busy printing company. That's where Scott learned nearly every aspect of the printing business from the inside, out. After many years in the family print business, a move into real estate was what he was looking for. Over the past 15 years Scott has worked in the real estate industry as a sales executive and manager for an array of successful residential developments and various recreational properties as well. He boasts about all 4 of his grown boys (all over 6 feet) 3 of who currently are living and working in Edmonton. His key sales and marketing role with AdMen has been crucial to our success right out of the gates.
Mick Lipohar has for 26 years been working in Western Canada's film and television industries. A fellow college classmate of agency owner Mark Burke, both graduated from SAIT's Motion Picture program CTSR in 1988. Working in the camera departments of block buster films having had his start in '88 as an intern in the film Legends of the Fall starring Brad Pitt, to dozens of music videos for leading artists, to documentaries, tv commercials and corporate videos as well as live stage work. A Calgarian for over 30 years, Mick is a longtime member of the local camera union of motion picture and television workers. Always enthusiastic and creative behind the lens, Mick is a professional with a solid reputation.
Being the daughter of the agency's owner, doesn't phase West Coast art college graduate Nicole Burke one iota. When asked about her working relationship with her dad, she happily reports that her and her father get along swimmingly. Nicole brings a modern designer touch and welcome female perspective to Admen. She doesn't seem to mind either when she's reminded that she works for "Admen", since she knows it's a shoutout relative to the industry's history.

Slokker West needed a sleek identity for their latest upscale multi-family development in the heart of one of Calgary's most exciting new developments, Currie Barracks. Everything was designed to build upon the Slokker brand. From the colour themes, to the clean approach, all graphic design including the stunning sales centre, social media, online marketing, print advertising and the creation of an advanced, responsive website optimized for Google, Bing and Yahoo.
After only 5 weeks of marketing in the Summer of 2014, the first phase had more than 80 unit sales reservations. The decision of building on the Slokker brand was a complete success and now upcoming projects will emulate and continue to build on the brand.
Windmill Harbour is a lakefront development west of Edmonton, selling lake lots and waterfront homes. After working with another Edmonton ad agency with an 'old school' approach, the team at Windmill Harbour made the decision to switch agencies and go with our more contemporary agency, banking on our digital media savviness and our new age, creative approach to marketing.
A whole new look, all new marketing materials and a new advanced website incorporating 3D animation were created in a very tight timeline to take advantage of the summer of 2014. Windmill Harbour quickly captured 17 lake lot sales completely turning their lack lustre summer into a much needed success.
Pelican View on the shores of Buffalo Lake Alberta is a stunning lakefront property, yet their marketing had failed to gain any traction. The owners were anxious to spread the word about their site's construction progress. A complete rebranding began in late 2014. Admen focused on Pelican View's brand message and the brand's user experience.
Along with a new logo design, brochure, direct mail, tradeshow booth and a state-of-the-art HTML5 responsive website, Admen's 3D animation designers created a stunning 3D animated fly through of the Pelican View lakefront project. The response from the new look and from the rollout of a targeted social media and online advertising campaign has been fantastic with new lake houses beginning construction in May 2015.
Red Sky a lakefront community development on the shores of Lesser Slave Lake needed a boost. One year after acquiring the property as an investment for two families of relatives, sales were flat. Their realtor had brought in one sale and had no other avenue other than MLS listings in order to market the property. We did a complete branding makeover, new website, new everything and relaunched with an agressive direct marketing campaign with very little traditional print advertising. Within the first 3 months, sales leads were continuing to come. During a tradeshow a buyer came forward and closed a sale at the show. That started the ball rolling - they now have 107 sales.
Calgary-based Slokker Canada West is a well respected multi-family property developer with broad international connections spanning the globe. Slokker needed a new corporate brochure and website to reflect their incredible local successes and their global connections to Netherlands' based, Slokker, a company with 75+ years of construction and development experience. A responsive, paralax website was created to fullfill their wishes for a clean, corporate website with impactful graphics, meaningful animations and just the right amount of information to create a pleasing User Experience. The same was true for their new coporate brochure and their new advertising layouts. Simple, clean and fresh.
Bernard Callebaut, famed local chocolatier, needed our help to rebrand his fledgling chocolate business. Having operated as Papa Chocolat since 2010, the company was beginning to realize its limitations with the existing brand. With the introduction of new investors and ownership, Bernard Callebaut's divine chocolate legacy was reimagined via a new upscale, luxury image and brand.
In September of 2015, Admen began work to create the new brand, Master Chocolat. The brand experience needed to feature greater market appeal and speak to his multi-generational, chocolate-infused history. Admen branded the new company, created all the packaging in record time and launched on November 1st, 2015. A whole new business model was created in order to ensure resiliance in today's tempermental economy. In the future, Bernard envisions a flagship store, but it's not on the company's immediate radar.
